I Made Some Changes

As you can see, I made a few changes, huzzah!

I don’t know for sure if I like it, but I think I do. I am, of course, open to any and all suggestions, especially regarding the sidebar (which!!! is totally contextual to the section of the site you’re in, I rock!) because I don’t know if I forgot anything or if I put too much stuff, etc.

Some things to note:
I redid the link list, wooot!
I added some not-so-useful information
I added a comment policy, privacy policy, and disclaimer
I forgot what else. OH!

IMPORTANT!!! Anybody that reads me through the rss or atom feed, PLEASE CHANGE YOUR LINK TO THE NEW ONE. I’m on feedburner just for the sake of simplicity now. NEW LINK—> http://feeds.feedburner.com/katscratchfever < —Thanks

Ok so basically it’s about the same but there’s some differences. Let me know if anything looks weird, if anything is missing, etc etc.

Scammers Suck but my Coffee Machine ROCKS

So somebody in Africa tried to scam Jeff out of his iPod on ebay today. Luckily, Jeff is a smart boy and consulted me first. “Katie this person wanted me to end it off ebay but I said no so they bid on it and I got a reciept saying I have money but I can’t find it” *peaks* It’s a bogus email and they clicked the “payment sent” button on ebay, but ebay put a little hourglass icon instead of money, and paypal has no record. “Jeff. It’s a scam. Keep the iPod.” People suck.

In other news, we got a new coffee machine at work and this thing is AWESOME.  :coffee:  It brews you one cup at a time, so that the same person doesn’t keep making a big pot of the most nasty tasting coffee on earth (I swear, throwing dirt into a cup of hot water would taste better) and I can pick light brew, AND you can do decaf or half-caf. It also makes hot chocolate and cafe mochas which are better if you top them off with milk. Brian is about ready to throw the thing out the door though cause he sits so close to the break room he hears the thing every time somebody walks in there. Like me haha.

And, I cleaned up my Q*Bee Quilt. It’s sad really, I’ve been a member for like, 2 years, and after I cleaned out all the people that don’t exist anymore, I have like, 6 patches left. Time to trade like a maniac. Those of you that aren’t members should go join It’s cute and fun and yes. I said so. Sign up!

Friend Pimpage

I would like to point out my two friends who have finally both got their own domains. I’m glad to see that I’m contagious hee! Seriously, you guys don’t want to know how many domains I own. I need to go to Domain-a-holics Anonymous or something.

Anyway!

First up is my friend Sonia, who is the proud owner of WoeSonia.net. I helped her think of that name Sonia was hosted on my domain for a long time.. she’s the only person I know that is more addicted to blogging than I am. Just wait until we start hanging out on a regular basis again… weird stories will be popping up like CRAZY, thanks to our buddy Karmimi. I might have to pull that entry from my LJ and post it here, its a good one

And then, there is Jules, who just got All-That-Glitters.net up and running. I’m so proud of her, she did the server transfer all on her own! Now if only she’d hold true to her “I swear I’m going to make a new layout” promise

Go check them out, shower them with love, etc etc etc. Besides getting them to get their own domains, I also got them both using ExpressionEngine, woooo!

People are Stupid & PHP Hates Me

BERLIN (Reuters) – A bungling German thief stole a pair of shoes in two different sizes and was caught when he went back to the shop to fix his mistake—decked out in the very clothes he had stolen, authorities said Friday.

Police in the western city of Bielefeld said the shop owner recognized the 20-year-old shoplifter because the white shoes and sports jacket he wore were available only in his shop, and had been stolen just two days earlier.

“You have to wonder why he went back into the shop in the stolen get-up,” said a spokeswoman for Bielefeld police. “It seems he may not have been the brightest of thieves.” The owner spotted the man as he attempted to switch of the wrong-sized shoe and alerted police, who arrested the thief.

ROFL. Classic. WHY would you DO that?!

In other news, the guys at pmachine helped me figure out why my auto-resize on KSF To-Go wasn’t working. Apparently my version of PHP doesn’t like the jpgs that my Nokia phone makes. WTF? I might have to go back to Motorolla in that case cause Py says upgrading the php would break more than it would fix. So according to John and PXLated, when I go shopping for my new cellphone, I should ask the sales person if the model he is selling me is compatible with my version of PHP, videotape his reaction, put it on youtube, get digged and be famous. Sounds good to me! :D Though I do wish it would just work with my phone!

This Is A Test of the Emergancy Mobile System

If this was a real emergency, you probably wouldn’t be seeing this post.

Don’t mind me, I’m testing the email feature. Because one day, my direct internet access to posting may be blocked. And I like to be prepared. Also, what if I’m out on the town and something you guys simply must know about happens?! I know none of you read the moblog, so it’d have to post here haha.

This is from my birthday.. 2 1 years ago. MAN I’m getting old fast :| Anyway, me and Sonia and JC don’t look anything like the Spice Girls in reality but we make pretty convincing shadows, no?

edit: Sonia pointed out that it was 1 year ago. I feel much better now.
