Good Morning from Cambridge!

Just a note to let you all know that I did indeed survive the plane trip here :D

I flew from Burbank to Phoenix, then from Phoenix to Providence… my plane landed about 20 minutes late so I missed my shuttle which made me miss my train, which set me almost 2 and a half hours behind schedule o_O But no worries for I made it! YAY!

Plane rides were fairly uneventful. AZ to RI was long and a little bumpy but I took a nap and played PSP so not too bad. Then I talked to the person sitting next to me for a while and then got off the plane. My suitcase was not lost which is always good and yeah.

I need a shower and some breakfast so I can feel like a person again.

A Much Needed Vacation

Tomorrow I leave for my first *real* vacation since… I don’t even want to think about it, it depresses me.

I’m headed off to Boston and New York for 5 days. A little short, but better than the proverbial poke in the eye. It’s also better than a literal poke in the eye. I’ll be staying with Kim and we’ll play dolls and celebrate my 21st birthday in style hahaha!

I’m excited!!

Hopefully my apartment doesn’t burn down while I’m gone.

How To Not Kill My Puppy

Morning Routine:

  • 6:30 – Puppy comes out of crate. Goes outside for potty and walk around the block. He likes to run too, if Dustin wants to.
  • 7:00 – Food and water. Water can be left available throughout the day. Food gets taken after half an hour. Fill the bowl; he’ll eat what he wants.
  • 7:30 – Back in crate. Say “Crate!” as you put him in. Put a chew toy in there too.
  • Between 9:00 and 10:00 – See if he needs to pee. Attach leash and walk him over to pads. Say “Papers!” as he gets near them and “Go potty” if he pees. Then praise. If he pees, he can be played with for about half an hour; otherwise he just goes back in the crate. (Optional step; he’ll be fine until lunch)

Afternoon Routine:

  • 1:00 – Take outside for potty and walk.
  • 1:30 – Give him back his food. If he eats it all it’s ok to give him a little bit more.
  • 2:00 – Take food bowl. He can stay out of the crate for a while now. Playtime! He can go back in crate for a while if he’s being too rowdy, etc.
  • Note: Keep an eye on him. This is NINJA POOP/PEE!!! time. Also, don’t let him eat weird things.

Evening Routine:

  • 7:00 – Outside for potty and walk/run.
  • 7:30 – Food!
  • 8:00 – More playtime.
  • 10:00 or 10:30 – Bedtime! Make sure he pees before he goes in the crate or he’ll wake you up in the middle of the night.

Other Notes:

  • Don’t let him bite. Tell him “NO!” firmly, but not in a yelling tone.
  • Watch cords and small food things.
  • Ignore him when he’s jumping. Push him down with your foot, not your hands if he’s climbing you, otherwise he thinks you’re playing.
  • Don’t let him out of his crate while he is barking/whining. Wait until he stops, then let him out. Also, don’t give him attention or he’ll keep doing it.
  • … don’t kill or lose my dog please.

Grand Reopening!

Huzzah!!

Now. Those of you that have been here before know that I’ve been saying that I’m going to redo this site for at least a year. And you also know that.. this is the same layout with a new row of options in it. BUT!! I switched over from Greymatter (…cgi, what was I thinking?!) to ExpressionEngine, which I must say I am very pleased with

Anyway, I know it doesn’t seem like a lot to you guys, but it’s a huge step, truly. I have 2 new layouts in the works as well as implementing some plug-ins and the such.

But for now, you guys can register to leave comments (and eventually there will be cool user stats posted somewhere, whee!) and you get a little avatar picture and so on and so forth.

BUGS:
Yes, I already know that the smilies aren’t working at the moment. I’m working on it, but it might take a bit because I know next to nothing about JavaScript. Everything else should be working. If anything looks wrong, please let me know.

That is all for now, I have some code to write.
